The Forest Garden – A Multi-Layered Growing System

    By Cathrine Dolleris

In this workshop on forest gardens and permaculture, we will explore how nature’s own principles can be used to create productive, resilient, and biodiversity-rich growing spaces. How does a forest garden work when it mimics the structure of a natural woodland edge while being designed to meet human needs?

Through practical examples and shared reflection, you will gain insight into how the interactions between trees, shrubs, herbs, and the life within the soil form the foundation of this regenerative cultivation system.

Cathrine Dolleris has worked with forest gardens since 2014, when she created her own on Orø, where she now lives a self-sufficient life close to nature. She teaches permaculture and co-founded the Nordic Permaculture Academy.
