Rune is an idea historian, author, speaker, nature photographer, and poet. He has been a member of the Danish Ethical Council and is actively engaged in the Danish Society for Nature Conservation. Through his many books and public contributions, he has become a strong voice in conversations about nature, ethics, and culture.

Perennial Vegetables and Edible Plants

In this workshop, Aiah Noack introduces a wide range of organic edible plants, including onions, cabbages, spinach, salads, edible shoots, and selected berries and fruits. Participants will enjoy tastings while exploring cultivation techniques, companion planting, and practical ways to use these plants in the kitchen. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just getting started, this workshop offers inspiration for growing food in harmony with nature.
Aiah Noack holds a degree in Horticultural Science and a PhD in Botany and Plant Physiology. For more than four decades, her work has focused on plants, nature, cultivation, and the positive impact that living plants have on human well-being. She has worked as a researcher, project manager, consultant, and entrepreneur, including founding the consultancy Team Grow-how in Denmark and a plant breeding nursery in South Africa. Today, she continues to share her extensive knowledge and passion for sustainable growing, edible landscapes, and nature-based living.

Resilient and Vital Food – What Are We Really Eating?

Through engaging insights and real-world examples, you’ll be introduced to the concepts of resilience and vitality in food, and learn how both growing methods and everyday choices shape what ends up on your plate.
The workshop is led by Jens-Otto Andersen, a farmer, agronomist, and PhD, who has spent 30 years researching food quality at the Biodynamic Research Association. His work, including a recent international study, highlights how organic and biodynamic foods can offer significantly higher resilience and vitality than conventional produce.

Syntropic Agriculture – Planting in Space and Time

Discover how we can work with nature’s own systems to grow more abundant and resilient ecosystems. In this interactive workshop, Saul Avery introduces the principles of Syntropic Agriculture and explores how thoughtful planting in space and time can maximise photosynthesis and support regeneration.
Through playful exercises, plant “lucky dips,” and audience participation, we will explore how plants cooperate and how we can design more diverse and productive landscapes. At the end of the workshop, participants will have the chance to take seeds home and continue their own growing journey.
Saul Avery is a regenerative farmer and agroforestry practitioner based in Lejre. He co-directs the non-profit SolRa, which promotes the teachings of syntropic agriculture in a temperate climate. With a deep belief that good ideas are rooted in ecology, Saul works to inspire new ways of growing and relating to the living world.

The Good Life on 30m²

What does a good life look like when we choose to live with less? In this inspiring talk, Anders Boisen shares his six-year journey of building and living in a sustainable tiny house in the forest of Djursland.
Through stories of challenges, discoveries, and everyday life off-grid, Anders explores how small-scale living, resource awareness, and a closer connection to nature can create new perspectives on housing, freedom, and well-being. From harvesting rainwater and solar energy to growing food in his permaculture forest garden, he invites us to rethink what we truly need to thrive.
Anders Boisen is a tiny house builder, author, and speaker known for his work within the Danish tiny house and off-grid movement. After leaving his office job to pursue a more sustainable and independent lifestyle, he built his own tiny house primarily from recycled and sustainable materials - creating a life experiment that inspires others to imagine alternative ways of living.

The Forest Garden – A Multi-Layered Growing System

In this workshop on forest gardens and permaculture, we will explore how nature’s own principles can be used to create productive, resilient, and biodiversity-rich growing spaces. How does a forest garden work when it mimics the structure of a natural woodland edge while being designed to meet human needs?
Through practical examples and shared reflection, you will gain insight into how the interactions between trees, shrubs, herbs, and the life within the soil form the foundation of this regenerative cultivation system.
Cathrine Dolleris has worked with forest gardens since 2014, when she created her own on Orø, where she now lives a self-sufficient life close to nature. She teaches permaculture and co-founded the Nordic Permaculture Academy.

Wild Nature – Creating the Conditions for Thriving Ecosystems
With Catrine Grønberg Jensen and DN
How do we create the right conditions for nature to thrive? In this talk, Catrine Grønberg Jensen shares insights from Danmarks Naturfond’s rewilding project at Skovsgaard Estate on Langeland, where natural processes are given space to shape the landscape.
Through examples from six years of restoration work, Catrine explores how natural grazing, restored hydrology, and natural vegetation development can help create richer ecosystems — by setting the right framework and then allowing nature to take the lead.
Catrine Grønberg Jensen is director and land manager at Danmarks Naturfond. She is a biologist with nearly 20 years of experience in strategic nature development, nature management, and environmental governance. Today, she works to protect and restore valuable natural areas across Denmark.

Plant Dyeing

Discover how plants and kitchen scraps can transform old textiles into beautiful new creations. In this creative workshop, you will explore the art of natural dyeing and learn how to create unique colours and patterns using materials from nature and everyday bio-waste.
Together, we will experiment with different dye baths, techniques, and materials such as string, ice sticks, and plant-based colours to give fabric a new life. You will receive a piece of cotton fabric to dye and take home your own handmade creation, with the option to also dye a small silk scarf.
Gitte Sofie Jakobsen is a creative soul passionate about sustainable living and upcycling. She began her journey with plant dyeing by transforming stained children’s clothes using natural materials and kitchen waste. Since then, she has created a wide range of projects with plant-dyed textiles, inspiring others to give old fabrics new life through creativity and sustainable practices.

Mette Maulitz, also known as Sanketossen, has a lifelong passion for foraging and connecting people with the natural world. Growing up close to forests and the coast, she has collected wild plants, berries, and nuts since childhood. Through her foraging walks, Mette shares her curiosity, knowledge, and joy of nature, inspiring others to see the landscape around them in a new way.

Drawing from more than 10 years of experience in Peru and knowledge rooted in both Scandinavian and South American plant traditions, Maria explores simple and accessible ways to work with nature in everyday life.
The workshop touches on topics such as immunity, colds, viruses, stress, fatigue, and natural skincare - while also sharing cultural practices and practical preparation methods that can strengthen the effects of natural remedies.

Maria Wiese has spent more than a decade working with plant knowledge and natural healing practices in Peru, inspired by traditions from both the Andes and the Amazon. Her work focuses on making practical plant wisdom accessible, grounded, and relevant for modern everyday life.

Folk Dance

Folk dance has a unique way of bringing people together across ages, cultures, and experience levels. No partner or prior knowledge is needed - everyone can join.
At Positive Trace Festival, we’ll explore folk dances from different parts of Europe -dances that have travelled across borders and generations, inviting us into a living tradition of movement and community.
The session is guided by Miriam Ariana, an experienced musician, dancer, and teacher who has inspired thousands of people to dance - also those who thought they couldn’t. Drawing on her travels and deep passion for folk traditions, she creates an open and welcoming space where everyone can be part of the dance.

Yoga

Start your day with a gentle and energising yoga flow in beautiful surroundings. As the morning sun rises over the landscape, you’ll be guided through simple sequences that awaken the body and calm the mind.
Through sun salutations and meditative flows, we focus on breath, strength, flexibility, and balance - creating a soft yet powerful start to the day. The class is open to everyone, and all movements can be adapted to suit your level and needs.
The sessions are led by Birgitte Thorsen Vilslev, a teacher at Siala specialising in hatha and vinyasa yoga. She will guide three morning flows during the festival, creating a welcoming space for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Yoga mats and equipment are available- just arrive a little early, settle in, and ease into your morning.

The Forest Mystery by Qlues
Strange sounds have recently been heard deep in the forest — and while investigating, you discover a mysterious backpack that can translate the language of the forest.
Join this immersive outdoor puzzle and sound walk where you and your team must solve a mission connected to forest biodiversity. Through clues, teamwork, and exploration, you’ll experience the forest in a completely new way.
The game takes place outdoors in the nearby forest area. You can join alone, with a friend, or as a full team. Max. 5 people per team, with 2 teams playing simultaneously.

Qlues is an organization creating mobile escape games about the green transition. Founded by Maja and Maha, the duo has spent the past three years developing interactive games that communicate themes such as biodiversity, sustainability, and climate awareness in engaging and playful ways.
