Explore ‘Caterpillar’: the Kids program at the Positive Trace Festival!

Discover a world of wonder tailored just for kids. Dive into immersive workshops, nature walks, and outdoor activities designed to spark curiosity and ignite imaginations. Caterpillar is a permanent place next to the Family Camping where kids and their parents can play and retreat from the rest of the festival.

What's in Store:

  • The kids program lasts from Wednesday (7.8.) to Saturday (10.8.) from 15.00 to 19.00.

    Feel free to use the space during the other hours of the day.

  • Yes, absolutly!

    Please bring your child(ren) along to the hands on positive trace projects. It's never to early to learn about nature, gardening and biodiversity. Please be with them at all time.

    Parent are more then welcome to join the program.

  • In our kids' program, you can expect a fun and engaging experience for your children. Our dedicated team has curated activities that blend learning with excitement, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment throughout. From creative arts and crafts to interactive games and educational sessions, we aim to inspire curiosity and foster new friendships among the kids.

    Rest assured, your children will be in caring hands and tailored as much as possible to different age groups.

  • There will be an area at the festival site designated for families closer to the festival site.

    We hope that this will make it easier to bring your children and have a good and easier festival experience.

    The outdoor stage closes at 12 am on the weekend and 10 pm on weekdays.

About Ira

Ira is a visionary optimist with a deep appreciation for nature and music. He is curious towards music, the outdoors and communities.

Ira is working at the public school in Hørning as a primary and music teacher. He is passionate about fostering creativity and self-confidence in the next generation.

Ira has been active in a variety of voluntary organizations in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Explore the Positive Trace Projects

  • Native Seed Collection

    The workshop will focus on restoring an acient ecologial funtion of the grassland ecosystem. The dispersal of plant seeds over large distances carried out by large herbivores.

  • Hydrology

    The purpose of the project will be to expand on the ecological space from the forest to the fields, by simulating forest clearings, providing food sources for pollinators, as well as to protect the field in case of harsh climate changes.

  • Forest Garden

    Learn hands-on how to construct a forest garden based on Permaculture principles. The goal is to make resilient, low-maintenance systems that will be an example of “Use and value diversity” which you can implement in your own home.

  • Habitat Creation

    Learn how to support and create different habitats for small insects and mammals by imitating natural processes in a manipulated system. We will focus on building dead hedges, inviting species such as hedgehogs, wrens, and solitary bees to move in.
